The capital of the state of Hawaii Honolulu is located on the eastern coast of Oahu and it is one of the most visited places in the Hawaiian Islands. The culture of Oahu is overall on the festive front although there are some small quiet places on the Island. The overall geographic distribution of Oahu is variable and the total area that is occupied by the island is about 596.7 square miles which is approxiamtely 1,545.4 km 2. There are some off shore islands that are included here as well and these include the Ford Island and the Kaneohe Bay.
